My brother treated me to a movie last night. Since I don't watch much TV at all, I didn't even know what movies were out. Luckily my brother has lots of free time and could give me a short summary of the movies we still had time to see. We picked Cellular, with Chris Evans and Kim Basinger, directed by David Ellis. I was hooked from the beginning and wasn't bored for a minute. I don't want to give the movie away, so I won't go into details. The whole thing was action packed. It is amazing to know what is possible with an object that fits in the palm of your hand, a cell phone. My phone takes pictures, has a calendar, internet capabilities and can record voices. After viewing this movie, I feel my phone is out of date and can't wait to get an updated one. Check out the films' website http://www.cellularthemovie.com. If you get a chance to go see it, I would definitely recommend it.
I started conditioning for basketball yesterday. Only 29 days left until the madness begins: the national start day for basketball practice. I play for our college team, Pacific University Boxers. This is my 4th year as a boxer and I believe this will be our most successful season. You can check out our schedule online and hopefully make it out to a game. http://goboxers.pacificu.edu/wbx/wbxsch.htm
Second day success at my job coaching basketball! I only had 18 middle-schoolers, but it felt just the same as 20. Even though it is only the second practice, I feel like they gained so much more. I've been coaching at basketball camps since my freshman year in high school, but I've never been the lone-ranger. I have these kids all to myself, trying to manage all of their skills and help them get better. It is much more difficult when you are THE COACH and not just A COACH. I'll keep updates and definitely post the results of the tournament.
On an end note, tomorrow is Friday and time to bring on the weekend! Two friends are coming to visit from home and I'm so excited!
If you get the chance, check out a band, Up Falls Down.
