I just got back from a camping trip to Fort Stevens in Oregon. The women's basketball team tries to go in the fall of each year as a bonding experience before the season starts. The weather in the Grove was about 80 degrees when we left and we arrived on the coast to overcast, 60 degree weather. It was actually quite nice though, it wasn't too cold and it luckily didn't rain on us! So, we spent a little time at the beach, playing with Erin's new golden retreiver puppy! It was Jake's first experience with a body of water!
After some time at the beach, we went back to the campsite and "bonded." :) We played a few little games to get to know eachother a little better since we have some new comers to the team. But don't worry girls, I won't share anything cause what's said in the circle, stays in the circle! :) he he.
We of course had to make a stop at the Nike outlet on the way back to school. I'm convinced some of those girls keep that store in business. My car luckily made it all the way back safely since the car started to give out while going up a hill due to an empty tank of gas! But us girls know the little secrets, like putting it in neutral and coasting down the hill! Whew! It was a close one. Now we're back in the Grove and ready to get serious about ball. Only 3 and a half weeks left!
